Dear Colleagues, Assalamo-Alaikum:

I feel honored for serving Pak-Madina Medical Forum (PMMF) as President.

PMMF has come a long way to become the leading organization of the Pakistani Medical Professionals working in Madina Munnawwaragh region.  PMMF is growing with over 150 doctors who are working as residents, registrars, specialists, consultants, head of department & Professors in Saudi Government / Private hospitals / Health Institutes in Madina Munnawwarah region. These doctors are sending a valuable amount of foreign exchange to Pakistan. Only in year 2007-08 the forging exchange sent to Pakistan by Pakistani community from Saudi Arabia was 1.02 billion USD which shows our commitment to take part in the progress of our beloved country.

In the last year PMMF has made strides in the areas of Medical Relief and Philanthropy for Pakistani community living in Madina Munnawwarah and held several Free Medical Camps through out the year. It was the selfless efforts of our volunteers that made it possible. The passionate help for the Young Physicians and the advocacy for our non-affording patients have been areas of greater focus in the year 2008. This work must continue with better assistance from the Pakistan Government / Pakistani community and with adequate funding in 2009 and beyond.

We should be proud of our successful Continuing Medical Educational Programs at PMMF Meetings.

The scope of work is enormous and resources are limited. Organization building and resource development are needed to expand the horizons of our work. Furthermore, we need to promote harmony and unity of purpose in PMMF. This goal can only be achieved with the will and conscious efforts on the part of our leadership. We have begun to learn to resolve our issues within our organization.

I intend to build bridges by reaching across the aisle to promote unity. Officers come and go but the institution remains. Our unity will make the institution of PMMF strong. Let us work together to take this great organization to the next level. I have no doubt in my mind that the future of PMMF is Bright and Promising. Just Be United.
